This work was carried out in-house while our founder was a project manager on ERP and digital transformation projects in the textile industry; it is not an RTechOn client project.

Challenge

Subcontracted work was tracked outside the ERP, in a scattered way.

Solution

We built a management structure that links subcontracting orders, prices and job status to production records in the ERP; subcontracted work is now monitored on the same screens as the rest of production.

Outcome

  • Subcontracted work is tracked together with production and ERP data

Solution process

  1. 01

    Current state

We identified how subcontracted work was tracked outside the ERP and what information was lost.

  2. 02

    Record structure

We designed the structure linking subcontracting orders and prices to ERP records.

  3. 03

    Tracking screens

We rolled out screens showing subcontracted job status alongside production data.
