A model that calculates cost, scrap and profitability per order, turned into applications running inside the ERP and into management reports.

This work was carried out in-house while our founder was a project manager on ERP and digital transformation projects in the textile industry; it is not an RTechOn client project.
Challenge
Real cost and profitability per order weren’t visible, and scrap data was scattered.
Solution
We built a calculation model for cost, scrap and profitability and turned it into applications used daily inside the ERP. Scrap analysis is presented to management broken down by batch, color, weight, production group, rework and additional operations.

Data inventory
We mapped where the records affecting cost and scrap live in the ERP and how accurate they are.

We agreed cost and scrap formulas per order, batch and operation with the production and finance teams.

We turned the model into screens running inside the ERP and SQL-based calculations.
